vMOX is looking for a Software Development Manager who will be responsible for leading a team of developers and using coding languages to compose, compile and test programs and applications in order to provide cellular cost optimization services to enterprises. In this job you will:

• Drive product strategy by identifying core features and requirements, researching new technologies that strengthen the organization and ensures there is a scalable system architecture design.

•  Collaborate with product manager, clients, end users, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and translate requirements to the team.

• Lead development and implementation processes for the department.

• Manage, develop, coach/mentor direct reports to include performance management including establishing standards of performance, developing priorities, and setting goals.

• Recruit, hire, train and manage direct reports on issues related to software development.

• Build trust with team members by conducting one-on-one meetings with assigned staff to discuss best practices, standards, and overall development.

• Shape our product and deliver new features monthly improving our effectiveness and making our users happier.

• Control project timelines by monitoring their progress, timelines, and due dates.

• Lead and contribute to development team meetings.

• Oversee, monitor, and analyze existing program logic to identify causes of program malfunctions; modify program logic to eliminate problems, or increase the operational efficiency of the program, ushering to timely resolution.

• Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in related areas of technology and programming.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree or technical certification required.

• 10+ years of related work experience required.

• Minimum of five years of supervisory experience.

• Ability to write excellent code to solve complex business problems and process automation.

• Eager to learn but have a solid foundation of experience to bring to the team.

• Thorough understanding of design, testing, and modification of programs and applications.

• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the technologies, coding and programming languages used in the organization.

• Knowledge of coding languages and systems. Able to develop front end UX using CSS3, HTML5 and Bootstrap while delivering content from MSSQL via Ruby on Rails.

• Eager to create new integrations with other systems to enhance our capabilities and find new ways to leverage existing features.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.

• Excellent time management skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

Location:

• 100% remote in the comfort of your most effective environment.

Salary:

• The salary range of this position is $125,000 - $145,000 commensurate with experience and achievement.
